Holy SUP!

Can you tell I'm excited about my upcoming SUP season?  Well I guess I could be telling you about the giant man eating shark I just saw.... kidding.....or that I'm really hungry for cookies.....actually I'm always hungry for cookies.....anyway I have big, huge, gigantic, crazy fun plans for Peace Love SUP this season but I guess I'm just gonna have to wait, because here on Cape Cod most people aren't really thinking about sand, sun or SUP until about July.  Which is just plain crazy.  There are amazing times to be had on a SUP right about now....really...truly...there are.  And today I had big, huge, gigantic crazy fun plans to go scope some secret SUP spots but after shoveling mulch into my yard for four hours yesterday this morning my back told me.....what the F!@# were you thinking....lie your ass back down young lady.  So I spent the day on ice, popping advil and making more big, huge, gigantic, crazy fun plans for Peace Love SUPs future.  No worries, they don't include sharks, shovels or mulch.  But they do include sun, sand and cookies...lots and lots of cookies. 

Secret SUPing Place

It was a SUPshiny day today out on the water.  I discovered some beautiful scenery down Great River in Mashpee while paddling next to orange jelly fish and great blue herons.  I also got a kick butt workout on the way back paddling against 10-12 mph winds.  It doesn't seem like much on dry land but when you're erect on a stand up paddle board and grinding right into it the term core workout has new meaning.  I also found a place to tuck in and get an arm, leg, back, balance, cardio, and of course core workout.  I can't wait to teach my SUP Yoga and SUP Fitness classes through Peace Love SUP as soon as the weather warms just a bit more.

This is what slack tide, 3mph winds, and 43 degrees looks like in mid February on Little River.  I found a great place to take tours in Hamblin Pond as well.
